Captain Hayley Matthews starred as West Indies women eased past Pakistan in the first ODI of the series on Thursday at the National Bank Stadium (NBS) in Karachi.
Opener Matthews led from the front and scored 140 runs in 150 balls, which included 15 fours and a six, after she won the toss and opted to bat first.
Matthews added 102 runs in 127 balls for the second wicket with Shemaine Campbelle after Windies lost opener Rashada Williams (1) in the third over of the match with the score just a single run.
Campbelle scored 45 runs in 71 balls and was the second highest run-scorer in the innings. Meanwhile, Chinelle Henry chipped in with run-a-ball 23.
West Indies finished on 269-8 in 50 overs.
For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal and Tuba Hassan claimed two wickets each.
In reply, the home side were bundled out for 156 runs in 35.5 overs and lost the match by a massive 113 runs.
Pakistan kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and never threatened to chase down the 270-run target.
Tuba was the highest scorer for Pakistan with 25 runs.
After impressing with the bat, Matthews also dominated in the bowling department with three wickets for 17 runs in six overs.
Afy Fletcher and Zaida James also clinched two wickets each.
The three ODIs will be followed by five T20Is from April 26 to May 3.
